Days Of Refreshing

Our next Day of Refreshing is December 13...

See what people have to say about Days of Refreshing...

"Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me--watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly." (Matthew 11:28-30, The Message)

Is your life too busy?  Would you welcome some peaceful, unhurried time to enjoy the Lord?  Are you spending meaningful time in the Word?  How are your priorities?  Do you see growth your walk with Jesus?  Are there some things you need to lay at His feet?  Areas in which you need to seek His wisdom?  Would you be encouraged by fellowship with others who are committed to serve God?  Then join us for a Day of Refreshing!

“Let us therefore draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace to help in time of need.”

--Hebrews 4:16

This is a daylong retreat aimed at spiritual renewal through a facilitated combination of teaching, fellowship, sharing, worship, prayer and time on your own with the Lord.  Each one has a different theme, but the goal is always to enjoy the Lord and walk with Him in growing intimacy and obedience.  Christ is the center and Scripture is our guide.  We study various aspects of the Christian life with a goal to integrate spiritual disciplines and devotional habits into our daily lives. We also have time to work alone on these issues and passages in silence with God.

"And He said to them, 'Come away by yourselves to a secluded place and rest a while.' (For there were many people coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat.)"—Mark 6:31

Dealing with the Deserts

"For I satisfy the weary ones and refresh everyone who languishes."

—Jeremiah 31:25

We meet in Oregonia, Ohio, in a beautiful home on one hundred acres of gardens and woods.  The tranquil setting is close to Lebanon, Cincinnati, Columbus and Dayton but it feels like a million miles away from all of the pressures and distractions of everyday life.  The land and the house are so conducive to an atmosphere of peace, renewal and fellowship.

“the joy of the LORD is your strength."

—Nehemiah 8:10

This is a time to seek and enjoy the Lord.  Please don't be intimidated if you have never done anything like this before.  It is always a renewing, challenging, encouraging day for all of us.  Come and be strengthened by the Word of God, the presence of the Lord and the accountability and fellowship of others who also desire to seek the Lord.

Giving a day to the Lord can help us clear the senses and see life through His eyes so we can keep Him first.  We may think we cannot afford to do it, but in reality, we cannot afford not to!  We have had some really meaningful and fun times together on these mini-retreats.  Jesus teaches and touches each of us so individually as we re-examine our priorities and the rhythm of our lives to find a new of way of obedience and freedom.

"Yes, brother, let me benefit from you in the Lord; refresh my heart in Christ."—Philemon 20

Everyone is welcome to this--men and women!  Space is limited so RSVP in advance, so we can plan food and materials for everyone.  Cost for the day is a tax-deductible donation to Psalm One Ministries.  Bring your Bible, a journal and a heart ready to respond to the Lord.

I invite you to come away to a secluded place and enjoy the presence of the Lord.

"....in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord"

-- Acts 3:19
