Soul Care and Transformation

“Cease striving and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
— Psalm 46:10

How do we feed our souls and train in life-giving spiritual disciplines for this marathon? How can we build Sabbath into our lives to genuinely experience rest? What does it take to refocus and refuel on the run? How can we pace ourselves for "A Long Obedience in the Same Direction"?

Christians--especially those in full-time ministry--may sometimes neglect our own souls even while we encourage and nurture others to grow. How is it with your soul?

How can we build Sabbath into our lives to genuinely experience rest?

Christ-centered, Biblically-based soul care is not introspection. (And it's not just for introverts!)

  • It means practicing the spiritual disciplines that ground us in the Word, tune us into the Spirit's leading, and spur us on to walk in greater obedience and joy.

  • It means living out Jesus' patterns of solitude, community, and ministry.

  • It means weaving Sabbath rest and healthy, holy rhythms into our work and relationships so we walk in freedom.

  • It means following hard after God with our head, heart, and hands.

Do you need to pull away and receive renewed strength and vision for your life or ministry? Could you use a Day of Refreshing or a Refocus and Refuel retreat to clear out all the fears and anger and confusion and apathy and dullness that can set in if we don’t pay attention to the state of our own souls? Come and receive a shot of life-giving encouragement. We’ll consider how to consistently integrate healthy, holy rhythms into our lives so we can live in Him freely and lightly. We sometimes think we cannot afford to take time out of our busy schedules, but in reality, we can’t afford not to!

Days of refreshing

Too busy? Would you welcome some peaceful time to enjoy the Lord? Are you growing in your walk with Jesus? Are there some things you need to lay at His feet? Areas in which you need to seek His wisdom? Would you be encouraged by fellowship with others who are committed to serve God? Then join us for a Day of Refreshing!

REfocus and refuel retreats

Come away to refocus, refuel, rest, reboot, revel, relax, recollect, reconsider, revive, return, recommit, remember, receive, recover and rejoice in Jesus.

Pastors’ wives retreats

Has it been a great year of growth and encouragement? Or are you barely hanging on by a thread? Would you welcome some tools to keep your heart alive toward God? Are you hungry to draw near to Jesus and fill your soul? Do you need some rest? Would you enjoy a little fun? No matter where life finds you, all women, whose husbands are full-time pastors, are invited to join us for the 2022 “Sisterhood of the Fishbowl” Soul Care Retreat, February 25-27 in Green Lake, Wisconsin.
